These were made by taking an online image of the characters, creating traces of the characters in Adobe Illustrator and creating templates from these. I then jigsawed the outlines out in 9mm plywood and proceeded to paint both sides in white, finishing with a coat of gloss. The detail was all added freehand with one-shot enamel. The backs and fronts were painted so they can be viewed from all angles when positioned in the garden.
This kept me busy through most of December so my regular practices suffered a little. I’m now keen to return to the practice boards to try and hone some skills. More on these soon….
